Deepika don't like compare with Priyanka

Deepika insists that Don’t compare her with Priyanka Chopra just because she’s done stunts in Drona and Deepika done action sequences in Chandni Chowk to China (CC2C). Each person is unique and so is she. She worked hard for six months to learn those stunts and was specially trained by experts from Hong Kong.

I’m glad film-makers recognise my talent... I will be playing a dual role once again in CC2C, after Om Shanti Om. So, I’m happy that film-makers find me capable of portraying different roles. It’s given me confidence and much satisfaction.

Wearing those tight wigs for CC2C was painful... One of the two roles I play in the film is that of a Chinese girl. Which is why it was necessary for me to wear those tight wigs with a fringe. Even my eyes had to be stretched out for the role. It really hurt to stay like that till pack-up, but the effort was worth it.

I feel fortunate to have worked with some of the top heroes... From Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar. And now I’m working with Saif Ali Khan for Imtiaz Ali’s next film, after which I will be working with Akshay once again. Akshay is such a fantastic guy and has so many years of experience. I learnt so much from him. I’m glad I’ve got to work with all of them so early in my career.

Marriage for Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia and beau Farhan Azmi have been dating for nearly three years and have decided to formalise their relationship. The wedding is likely to take place by the end of this year. According to reliable source, “Ayesha Takia and Farhan have been dating for nearly three years and are very serious about each other. When contacted, Ayesha said, “Yes, I am getting married very, very soon. I will make a formal announcement of the date and the month, shortly.” Farhan was more frank and forthcoming. He told CT, “Ayesha and I have decided to marry. It could be end of this year or early next year. I know Ayesha’s parents very well and my parents too like her a lot.”

We asked Farhan if it was true that Ayesha was not signing new projects because she intends settling down as homemaker. He argued, “That’s not the reason why Ayesha is signing fewer films. Actually she is not getting the kind of work she would enjoy doing.” Bold and daring roles, right? Farhan replied, “You know how she works.” “We haven’t yet decided whether we will stay with my parents or not,” said Farhan.

Mother Neetu Kapoor also seconds that. “I am sure that Deepika has been misquoted.” Neetu says these kind of rumours happen if you are a part of the industry. “This is a part of film industry life. Kuch na kuch to hota rahta hai . I don’t react to all this at all. That’s because I have gone through this myself and with my husband. I have been connected to some hero or the other. My husband cannot flirt because he is not that type. I guess one just has to laugh it off!” Now, are Deepika and Ranbir doing so?

Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has denied rumours of a break-up with actor Ranbir Kapoor, saying she was very much together with her "boyfriend" and they were currently "happy" with the relationship.

"Yes I have a boyfriend and we are happy," she said during a visit to Dubai as the brand ambassador of a real estate company.

Asked about her love life, the 22-year-old actor who has earlier been linked to Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, said as a public figure you had to learn to deal with rumours.

"There is always a lot of speculation but that is something you have to deal with. We are together and I refer to him as my boyfriend," she was quoted as saying in the Gulf News. Padukone, who made a hugely successful Bollywood debut with director Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2007, is currently working on Nikhil Advani's 'Chandni Chowk to China', also starring Akshay Kumar. She was earlier seen in a Kannada film, 'Aishwarya' in 2006, after a successful stint as a ramp model.

After the astounding debut in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om , Deepika Padukone will be sharing screen once again with her first co star Shah Rukh Khan for Priyadarshan’s Billoo Barber .


Billoo Barber is an adaptation of the story between Lord Krishna and Sudama which will be produced by SRK’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment. Deepika will be paired opposite SRK in the film. It is a remake of a Malayam hit, in which Mammootty is the hero.

Director Priyadarshan confirms, “Yes Deepika is part of Billo Barber and she will be doing an item number too. We have recently shot Kareena’s item song, while Deepika’s number will be shot in July.”

It is going to be Deepika’s first item number, it will also be used for the promotion of the film. The song will be choreographed by Pony Sharma who choreographs all of Priyadarshan’s movies.

Deepika is currently shooting for Siddharth Anand’s Bachna Aey Haseeno , Nikhil Advani’s Chandni Chowk To Chaina and Imtiaz Ali’s next.

Deepika Takes Double again

Director Nikhil Advani, who has been shooting hectically in China for his new action-comedy Chandni Chowk To China, has confirmed that Deepika Padukone is playing a double role in the movie.

`That`s right,` said Advani. `Deepika Padukone is doing a double role in my film.` This would be Deepika`s second double role after her debut Om Shanti Om.
